Christmas has come and gone, 2019 is coming to an end and the New Year is fast approaching. Make your New Year’s resolution count in 2020 and discover Suffolk.
Merry Christmas for yesterday everybody. We hope you’ve had a fantastic Christmas. 2019 has been a fantastic year here at Mollett’s Farm for us and our wonderful guests.
The seasons have been fantastic with a perfect spring full of new life and colour, beautifully hot summer, a mild, moody autumn and now a beautiful crisp fresh winter that will guide us into 2020.
As we look to the New Year and begin to think about creating resolutions to make the coming year even better than this one, we find our thoughts drawn to creating memories and enjoying experiences. Then we realised we should be focusing on one thing. Suffolk.
Now we don’t want to sound like we are preaching, and we may be slightly biased, but we are going to say it anyway, Suffolk is an amazing place!
There, we said it, and we would shout it from the rooftops if we could. But it’s a little bit wintery outside and the roof of the farmhouse may be a bit slippery.
Our cosy corner of Suffolk is the best place to share experiences and create beautiful memories with your loved ones. It is a county filled with wondrous adventures, beautiful scenery, historic architecture, pulse-raising activities, and inspiring arts and culture.
So, if you’re struggling to think of a resolution, why not…

RSPB Minsmere is just a stone’s throw away from our accommodation at Mollett’s Farm. Here you can discover some of the UK’s rarest wildlife, huge varieties of birds and miles of walking tracks along the coastline and around coastal lagoons. RSPB Minsmere is perfect for families too and you can discover nature together in the Wild Zone and Wild Wood Adventure area.
It’s not just nature that offers adventure in Suffolk. Nothing quite says an adventure like an ancient castle, and Suffolk has 9 castle sites! Our favourite is the world-famous “Castle on the Hill” Framlingham Castle and it’s only a 10-minute drive from our luxury self-catered accommodation.
Once a fearsome fortress, Framlingham Castle’s towering walls hide many stories. It was behind these walls that Mary Tudor was proclaimed Queen of England. Your adventure will guide you through the workhouse, the only building remaining inside the castle walls today, before a walk along the ramparts to enjoy its breath-taking views from over 10 metres up.
Adventures are the perfect way to create memories. These are just 2 opportunities to find your Suffolk adventure check out our blog to find out more.
