Suffolk is famous for its beautiful countryside and wide, open skies. RSPB Minsmere is just down the road, home to UK’s rarest wildlife, you might even spot an otter or some red deer. There are ancient woodlands right on our doorstep!

Rendlesham Forest is also nearby – you may recognise the name thanks to a strange, possibly, extra-terrestrial incident there in the 1980’s, but you’ll be relieved to know that it’s now far more famous for its stunning woodland walks and bike trails. Snape Marshes Nature reserve is an area of outstanding natural beauty filled with rustling reeds and the sound of bird song. Suffolk seaside towns and beaches

There really is no end to the fabulous food and drink in our fantastic county. Suffolk is packed full of cosy country pubs, world-famous breweries, award-winning butchery and artisan bakeries.

Why not take a brewery tour at Adnams, visit Jimmy’s farm for a free-range food adventure, or head to Aldeburgh for the best fish and chips in Britain!

Mollett’s Farm is very proud to have the world class music venue of Snape Maltings just a 5 minute drive from our luxury accommodation. Snap holds proms and concerts throughout the year, we’ll be happy to let you know what will be taking place while you’re visiting. It’s also home to several art galleries, shops and even a café.

There really is something going on each season in Suffolk. Spring brings plenty of Easter events and the popular Suffolk Show. Summer is the season of carnivals, galas, festivals like Latitude and, of course, Suffolk Dog day! (All our properties are dog-friendly by the way…) Autumn is a time for thanksgiving, with services, celebrations and food festivals – there are even festivals dedicated to getting to know our famous Suffolk apples. Winter brings Christmas fairs as the smell of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts fill the air. One of our favourite events at this time of year is St Michael’s Church’s Christmas Tree Festival, Framlingham – the church, charities and local community groups decorate upwards of 30 trees to create a magical atmosphere in the church.

5.Suffolk’s Famous Castles and History

If you know your history then you’ll know Suffolk is famous for the Sutton Hoo, which is just a 20-minute drive from our holiday accommodation. The 6-7th century cemeteries include a traditional ship burial site which has been painstakingly recreated thanks to an incredible £4 million investment scheme. which has been Framlingham Castle is famous as Ed Sheeran’s castle on the hill…but when you see it for yourself, you’ll understand why this 12th century castle been an inspiration for centuries. Orford Castle is less a castle and more a keep but this attractive polygonal tower is a stunning piece of architecture with a fascinating history to match.
